Barbering Program

Vogue Barbering students receive the most comprehensive training in the field. Students learn shaving, clipper-art, and trimming of men's hair, beards, and mustaches, as well as cutting and styling men’s hair. You’ll learn sanitation, sterilization and safety practices as well as cutting-edge styling skills from our professionally trained instructors. Upon graduation and receiving your certificate of completion you will be eligible to take the Licensing Exam of the Georgia State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Instruction is also taught on topics ranging from general anatomy, business industry relations, and front end salon management and merchandising techniques.

Barbering Performance Objectives

To successfully acquire the knowledge of the laws and rules regulating Georgia Barber establishment practices.
To successfully acquire the knowledge of sanitation and sterilization as related to all phases of hair and skin.
To successfully acquire business management techniques which are common to the Barber profession.


To be able to appreciate good workmanship, which is common to the Barbering field.
To possess a positive attitude toward the public and fellow workers.
To appreciate honesty and integrity in oneself and others.
To have a positive personality while dealing with patrons and colleagues.


Learn the proper use of implements relative to all Barbering services.
Acquire the knowledge of analyzing the scalp, face, and beard to determine any disorders.
Learn the procedures and the terminology used in performing all barbering services.
